Abstract

Researchers from Islamic Azad University in Tabriz, Iran, have conducted a study on the use of liposomal formulation as a carrier for the antifungal drug nystatin. The researchers found that the formulation of nystatin in nanoparticles significantly increased its efficacy against Candida species at lower doses. This finding suggests that liposomal formulation could be used to develop new antifungal agents and improve the delivery and absorption of hydrophobic drugs. The study provides valuable insights into the potential use of nanotechnology in the treatment of fungal infections. [Extracted from the article]
