Abstract
- This article provides an overview of the theft of the iconic ruby slippers from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The slippers, made famous in the film The Wizard of Oz, were stolen in 2005 and were recently recovered by the FBI in 2018. The investigation into the theft is ongoing, and two individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. The article also discusses the impact of the theft on the museum, including its financial struggles. The stolen slippers are now set to go on a tour and will be auctioned off later this year.
