Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Verona in Italy compared two sodium hyaluronate-based ophthalmical viscosurgical devices (OVDs) used during cataract surgery. The study found that the bacteria-derived FIDIAL PLUS OVD was as effective and safe as the animal-derived IAL (R)-F OVD. The research involved 50 patients with bilateral cataract, and the results showed no significant increase in intraocular pressure or adverse effects in either group. This study confirms the clinical value of the FIDIAL PLUS OVD. [Extracted from the article]
