Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Jesus Uson Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre in Caceres, Spain, aimed to predict stress levels in surgeons during minimally invasive robotic surgery using artificial intelligence. The study collected data on ergonomic and physiological parameters from twenty-six surgical sessions completed by eleven surgeons with varying levels of experience. Multiple linear regression, support vector machine, and multilayer perceptron techniques were applied to generate predictive models, which were then validated. The results showed that the linear models successfully predicted stress levels and demonstrated the potential to improve the health of surgeons during robotic surgery. [Extracted from the article]
