A recent study conducted by SIMAD University in Somalia reported a rare case of hepatic hydatid cyst, a form of echinococcosis. The patient, a 19-year-old male from Saudi Arabia, presented with abdominal pain and dysuria. Through physical examination and imaging investigations, a cystic lesion in the liver was discovered and confirmed as a hydatid cyst. The patient underwent successful surgical management and received oral albendazole treatment.
