Abstract
- A research study conducted at Hubei University of Chinese Medicine in China investigated the expression of P-glycoprotein in T-cell subpopulations of lymphocytes from adult patients with refractory glomerulonephritis (GN). The study used flow cytometry to analyze the T-cell subpopulations and found no significant differences in P-glycoprotein expression between patients with refractory GN and healthy individuals, except for a significant difference in CD3(+)CD8(+) T cells. The researchers concluded that P-glycoprotein expression on CD3(+)CD8(+) T cells could be a promising marker and target for drug resistance in patients with refractory GN. This research has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
