Abstract
- A recent study on endometritis, an inflammation of the endometrium, has found that it is characterized by the presence of plasma cells. Chronic endometritis has been associated with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), with a prevalence of approximately 30% among women with RPL. However, there is no consensus on the exact definition or number of plasma cells required for diagnosis. The treatment for chronic endometritis involves oral antibiotic therapy and removal of any associated uterine pathology. Studies have shown that a single course of antibiotics can have a cure rate of 60-94%, and following treatment, women with RPL have improved live birth rates. [Extracted from the article]
