Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas examined the relationship between anisocoria (unequal pupil size) and outcomes in patients with acute brain injury. The study found that anisocoria after exposure to light was associated with worse outcomes compared to anisocoria at rest. The researchers suggest that anisocoria after light stimulus should be considered as a biomarker for poor outcomes in these patients. Further validation of this finding is needed. The study was supported by NeurOptics Inc. [Extracted from the article]
