Abstract
- A study conducted at Aix-Marseille University in Marseille, France, examined the long-term outcomes of active surveillance (AS) in patients with favorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer. The study found that AS is a safe and effective strategy for selected patients, with no cases of metastasis or death due to prostate cancer during the follow-up period. The research also identified factors associated with the risk of undergoing definitive treatment, such as PSA density and lesions on mpMRI. These findings suggest that AS can be a valuable approach for managing favorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer. [Extracted from the article]
