Abstract

Researchers at Shandong University in Jinan, China have developed a self-cleaning flex-occlusometer for dental health monitoring. This device uses superhydrophobic capacitive sensors to measure and track occlusal forces, which are important for diagnosing dental issues and evaluating the impact of lifestyle on oral health. The flex-occlusometer has a wireless transmission module and smart interface, allowing for real-time data visualization and personalized dental care. It is resistant to mechanical abrasion, chemical corrosion, and pollutant residues. The research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has been peer-reviewed.
