Abstract

Researchers at Polytechnic University Torino in Turin, Italy have conducted a study on the challenges faced by astronauts in space exploration, particularly on the Moon and Mars. The study highlights the environmental factors such as extreme temperature fluctuations, low gravity, and the absence of atmosphere and magnetosphere on these celestial bodies. The researchers emphasize the potential health risks for astronauts, including weakened bones and muscles due to reduced gravity, increased risk of bone fractures, and exposure to dangerous solar and cosmic radiation. The study also describes an exploratory habitation module with trim intrinsic control, which includes a system of ropes and pulleys to control the height and movement of the module. The research has been peer-reviewed and received financial support from the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). [Extracted from the article]
