Abstract
- A systematic review and meta-analysis conducted in Safed, Israel compared the outcomes of piezosurgery and conventional osteotomy in rhinoplasty procedures. The study found that piezosurgery resulted in a significant reduction in postoperative edema and ecchymosis compared to conventional osteotomy. Piezosurgery also showed a significant reduction in overall complications, particularly mucosal injuries, and a decrease in pain scores and the need for analgesia. The study concluded that piezosurgery offers significant benefits in patient outcomes, although further long-term investigations are needed. [Extracted from the article]
