Abstract
- A new study on polyneuropathies, conducted by researchers at "Attikon" University Hospital in Athens, Greece, focuses on the association between myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies and demyelinating polyneuropathy. The study identified four new cases of MOG-IgG seropositivity and confirmed demyelinating polyneuropathy, and reviewed a total of 22 cases published since 2018. The research discusses the unclear pathogenetic mechanism and suggests that further case reporting and large cohort studies are needed to explore the underlying mechanism and guide more effective therapeutic interventions. The study was published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine. [Extracted from the article]
