Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Benemerita Autonomous University of Puebla in Mexico has explored the potential anticancer properties of citrulline, an amino acid found in the body. The researchers synthesized two new mixed complexes of citrulline with 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2'-bipyridine, which showed promising results in in vitro toxicity studies on cancer cell lines. Docking studies with DNA also indicated potential anticancer activity. This research provides new insights into the field of pharmaceutics and may contribute to the development of novel anticancer therapies. [Extracted from the article]
