Abstract

A recent study conducted at Mody University of Science and Technology in Rajasthan, India, focused on the synthesis and characterization of new compounds derived from symmetrical chalcones. The researchers used various spectroscopic techniques to describe the newly synthesized compounds and evaluated their antibacterial properties against Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli. Molecular docking and in silico analysis were also performed to determine the compounds' binding affinity and drug-likeness properties. The study found that the synthesized molecules showed promising antibacterial activity and exhibited favorable drug-like properties. [Extracted from the article]
