Abstract

Researchers from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts have discussed new findings in Chemicals and Chemistry related to the teaching of Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP). HoLEP is a technique used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia, and the researchers describe their stepwise approach for teaching this procedure as part of a structured surgical training curriculum. The study evaluates the association of their teaching method with intraoperative efficiency parameters and immediate postoperative surgical outcomes of 200 HoLEP procedures. This research has been peer-reviewed and is published in the Canadian Journal of Urology. [Extracted from the article]
