Abstract

Researchers at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China have conducted a study on the role of the JAK-STAT-SOCS1 axis in penile cancer. The study analyzed the altered expression processes of this axis in tumorigenesis, malignant progression, and lymphatic metastasis of penile cancer. The researchers observed an altered molecular expression of the JAK-STAT-SOCS1 axis during different stages of penile cancer and identified STAT4 as an important molecule in mediating the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. These findings provide valuable information for developing precise treatment strategies for patients with penile cancer. [Extracted from the article]
