Abstract

Researchers from Tehran University of Medical Sciences have conducted a study to explore the use of statistical procedures in the pretest-posttest control group design, which is commonly used to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and interventions. The study analyzed data from experimental studies published in five Iranian journals between 2011 and 2018 and found that 18.9% of the papers used ANCOVA as the statistical test in pretest-posttest studies. The researchers concluded that ANCOVA, a multiple linear regression method, is a suitable approach for comparing and examining pretest-posttest study designs. This study has implications for researchers in various fields, both in Iran and internationally. [Extracted from the article]
