Abstract
- A qualitative study conducted at California State University Long Beach explored the challenges faced by private school teachers in India during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study found that teachers faced difficulties with parental involvement and children's participation in remote instruction, particularly among low-income families. Lack of access to technological devices, internet, low technological literacy, and language barriers were identified as contributing factors. The findings suggest the need for governments to ensure children's access to digital tools and internet services, as well as the implementation of support services for families who are unable to support their children's education at home. Future studies may explore the impact of the long school closure on learning loss. [Extracted from the article]
