New Data from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University Illuminate Findings in Drug Research (Discovery of Novel Thiophene-3-carboxamide Derivatives As Potential Vegfr-2 Inhibitors With Anti-angiogenic Properties).

A recent study conducted at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in China has discovered a series of novel thiophene-3-carboxamide derivatives that have potential as VEGFR-2 inhibitors with anti-angiogenic properties. Compound 14d, in particular, showed excellent anti-proliferative activity against various cancer cell lines and effective VEGFR-2 inhibitory activity. The compound also demonstrated the ability to inhibit colony formation, cell migration, and tube formation in a dose-dependent manner.
