Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center compared the outcomes of robotic assisted inguinal lymph node dissection (RAIL) and open superficial inguinal lymph node dissection (OSILND) in clinically node negative high-risk penile cancer patients. The study found that RAIL was a reliable staging and potentially therapeutic procedure with comparable outcomes to OSILND. The RAIL cohort had longer operative time and operative drain duration, but similar complication rates and oncological outcomes compared to the OSILND cohort. This research provides valuable information for the treatment of penile squamous cell carcinoma. [Extracted from the article]
