Studies from Xiamen University Have Provided New Data on Ureteroscopy (Effects of Thermal Insulation On Recovery and Comfort of Patients Undergoing Holmium Laser Lithotripsy).

A study conducted by researchers at Xiamen University in Fujian, China, examined the effects of compound thermal insulation management on the recovery and comfort of patients undergoing transurethral ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. The study involved 551 patients who were randomly assigned to either an observation group or a control group. The observation group received compound thermal insulation management in addition to routine surgical care. The results showed that the observation group had higher perioperative body temperatures, better anesthetic resuscitation indicators, improved comfort and quality of life, and a lower incidence of complications compared to the control group.
