Abstract
- The article discusses the formation of a three-ship information team with the Spitfire, Hurricane, and Mustang to honor the 100th anniversary of the RCAF. The author, the chief pilot of the Mike Potter Aircraft Collection, receives an email from Mike Potter himself, expressing support for the formation team. The author and his team select pilots for each aircraft and undergo training and preparations for their performances at Aero Gatineau. The article highlights the challenges and preparations involved in flying these iconic historic aircraft in formation. This article discusses a mission plan involving the Spitfire, Air Boss Jean-Francois Sills, and Major Justin "Kinger" King of 425 Tactical Fighter Squadron. The plan includes the Hornet taking off and performing a display, followed by interacting with the crowd and debriefing afterwards. The author expresses a desire for more of these missions in the future. [Extracted from the article]
