Abstract

A recent study conducted at the National Research Centre in Cairo, Egypt, has found that palm oil and its triacylglycerol constituent can effectively restore serum female hormones, ovarian antioxidants, inflammatory markers, and DNA fragmentation in female rats with favism-induced metabolic disease. The study involved 36 female albino rats, which were divided into different groups and given various treatments orally for four weeks. The results showed that palm oil was able to restore these parameters to levels similar to the control group. This research provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of palm oil in addressing the effects of favism in females. [Extracted from the article]
