Abstract

A recent study conducted at Tver State Medical University in Russia examined the use of the biosimilar insulin RinFast(R) in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1). The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of RinFast(R) as bolus therapy in combination with long-acting insulin and as monotherapy in an insulin pump. The results showed that there was no clinically significant deterioration in glycemic control after switching to RinFast(R), indicating that it can be used safely and effectively in children with DM1. The study highlights the need for more research on the use of biosimilar insulin in this population. [Extracted from the article]
