Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Zagreb, Croatia, has found that patients with hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) have increased levels of inhibitory co-receptors TIM-3, LAG-3, and PD-1 in their serum. These proteins are believed to play a role in regulating the immune response and disease progression. The study used multiplex immunoassay to measure the levels of these proteins and found that higher levels were associated with certain clinical parameters such as creatinine, urea, lactate dehydrogenase concentrations, and platelet count. This research provides valuable insights into the pathogenesis of HFRS and may contribute to the development of new treatment strategies. [Extracted from the article]
