Care of patients with covid-19 and post/long covid syndrome.

Introduction: As SARS-COV-2 infection evolves over time and new mutations emerge, new research studies its effects both during onset and duration, as well as during its retreat. Patients were faced with a multitude of symptoms of the disease, sometimes mild and sometimes severe -- and often dangerous to their health. The treatment and management of the symptoms of this disease in a timely manner by the health personnel of both the Greek and other European and non-state and private health systems internationally was left to the knowledge, experience, self-sacrifice but also to the spirit of contribution and the selfless offering the human potential of these systems that was called upon to deal with both the initial manifestation of the disease and its subsequent development. Aim: This article aims to highlight the contribution of nurses to the rehabilitation of the health of patients with COVID and POST or LONG COVID syndrome. Methodology: A search was made on scientific articles (systematic reviews, clinical research and field research) in electronic databases (PubMed, Science Direct, Elsevier, EBSCO, GOOGLE SCHOLAR) with the subject: the contribution of nurses to the rehabilitation of the patient's health with COVID and LONG syndrome COVID, the role of nursing science in dealing with the pandemic, health rehabilitation protocols for patients with COVID-19, POST - COVID, redefining the nursing profession in the management of the pandemic, the role of the nurse in clinics or polyclinics POST or LONG COVID. Results -Conclusions: Scientific studies highlight the contribution of the nursing staff to the successful retreatment of the POST-COVID syndrome and to the recovery of the health of the patients, given that the nurse is the provider of quality and efficient health service. The greatest success factor is the professionalism of the nurse as a result of continuous education, training and work experience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
