Abstract
- A study conducted by the Shandong Academy of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine in Jinan, China, has developed a portable kit for the rapid and accurate detection of paraquat (PQ) in human urine and gastric juice. The kit utilizes the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) technique and gold-silver core-shell nanoparticles as the substrate. The detection process takes only one minute and does not require any pretreatment procedures. The researchers believe that this point-of-care testing (POCT) assay has significant potential as an innovative alternative for poisoning detection applications. [Extracted from the article]
