Abstract

A recent report from Sichuan University in Chengdu, China discusses the use of enzyme-activatable disk-shaped nanocarriers for breast cancer combination therapy. These nanocarriers, called TRAIL-[ND-HCPT](GAC), were designed to enhance the delivery of hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) and tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) to tumor tissues. The nanocarriers were found to have better tumor infiltration ability and exhibited synergistic antitumor effects, resulting in improved therapeutic efficacy and prolonged survival in breast tumor-bearing mice. This research provides promising insights into the development of more effective treatments for breast cancer. [Extracted from the article]
