Abstract
- Researchers at Vancouver Island University have developed a new method for detecting chronic kidney disease (CKD) using paper spray mass spectrometry (PS-MS) combined with machine learning. The protocol is rapid and simple, based on analyzing metabolic profile changes in urine. The study found that the PS-MS combined with machine learning approach had a diagnostic performance of over 96% accuracy for CKD. This research suggests that PS-MS combined with machine learning could be a valuable tool for the rapid and simple diagnosis of CKD. [Extracted from the article]
