Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Harbin Medical University has revealed new insights into the role of Eubacterium in obesity. The study analyzed metagenomic sequencing data from both obese and non-obese individuals and found that the gut bacteriome and virome were significantly altered in obese patients. The researchers identified specific bacterial and viral species that were associated with obesity, as well as antibiotic resistance genes and bacterial virulence factors that may contribute to its development. The findings offer comprehensive insights into the gut microbiome and could potentially guide the development of microbiome-based diagnostics for obesity. [Extracted from the article]
