Abstract

A recent study conducted at Indiana University examined the effects of Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) on ejaculatory and erectile function. The study included 277 patients who completed pre and postoperative questionnaires. The results showed a significant decline in ejaculatory function post-HoLEP, but this decline was not found to be bothersome. However, there was no significant decline in erectile function. This research provides valuable insights into the sexual function outcomes of patients undergoing HoLEP for benign prostatic hyperplasia. [Extracted from the article]
