Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the University of Extremadura in Caceres, Spain, has found that postbiotics of Lacticaseibacillus paracasei and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum can have a negative effect on calcium influx in colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines. The study showed that these postbiotics attenuate store-operated calcium entry (SOCE) and impair in vitro migration of cancer cells. The researchers suggest that this finding could provide a potential strategy for treating colorectal cancer. The study was supported by various organizations including the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion and Junta de Extremadura. [Extracted from the article]
