Abstract

Researchers from the Shenzhen Campus of Sun Yat-sen University in China have conducted a study on nanodiscs and their potential for drug delivery. The study focused on the conformational characteristics of Apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I) peptide analogs (APAs) in nanodisc assembly and their ability to encapsulate curcumin. Molecular dynamic simulations and in vitro assessments were used to evaluate the efficacy of different APA-ND formulations as drug carriers. The findings suggest that APA-NDs have the potential to be a promising platform for drug delivery, with tunable features that can revolutionize nanomedicine. [Extracted from the article]
