Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China, has investigated the effects of Qing-Re-Chu-Shi Decoction (QRCSD), a traditional Chinese herbal formula, on atopic dermatitis (AD). The study aimed to understand the mechanisms and active components of QRCSD and its therapeutic efficacy in a mouse model of AD. The results showed that oral administration of QRCSD reduced AD-like lesions, improved skin barrier function, regulated the Th1/Th2 balance in the spleen, and decreased inflammatory cytokine levels. The study suggests that QRCSD may be a potential complementary and alternative therapy for managing AD. [Extracted from the article]
