Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Barcelona explored the impact of a Mediterranean-like diet on acute inflammation in Wistar rats. The Mediterranean diet is known for its rich content of bioactive and immunomodulatory components, some of which have shown protective activity against inflammation. The study involved two groups of rats, one receiving the experimental diet and the other a reference diet. The results indicated that the rats on the Mediterranean-like diet exhibited lower paw volume during an induced inflammatory process. This research provides insights into the potential benefits of a Mediterranean diet in modulating inflammation. [Extracted from the article]
