Abstract

Researchers at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China have conducted a study on laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for localized renal tuberculosis. The study evaluated the effectiveness of the skirted continuous suture technique in this procedure. Five patients with kidney tuberculosis underwent laparoscopic partial nephrectomy using this technique, and the surgical success rate was 100%. The study concluded that the laparoscopic continuous suturing technique is a reliable and straightforward method for closing incision edges in laparoscopic surgery, contributing to improved efficacy and safety in treating localized renal tuberculosis.
