Abstract

A study conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College in China evaluated the effectiveness of personalized dietary interventions in improving the nutritional status and overall health of patients undergoing dialysis. The study found that patients who received individualized dietary counseling showed significant improvements in albumin, hemoglobin, potassium, and phosphorus levels after six months. They also had a higher rate of adherence to dietary recommendations and reported enhancements in energy and protein consumption, as well as improvements in physical, emotional, social, and overall health perception scores. The findings suggest that personalized dietary interventions can greatly improve the nutritional status, biochemical profile, and quality of life of patients undergoing dialysis.
