Abstract

The article focuses on the role and significance of Interest Groups (IGs) in influencing public decisions, particularly in Chile from 1990 to 2020. Topics include the common activities of various groups, the importance of IGs in democracy, and empirical research analyzing the extent, strategies, and effectiveness of IGs in influencing decision-making processes. It mentions Chilean evidence with that of some democracies advanced, and these are discussed patterns from the perspective of good functioning of the Chilean democratic system.
