Abstract

A recent report from Damascus University discusses the case of a 12-year-old girl with steroid-resistant nephrosis (SRN) who developed acquired hemophilia A (AHA). The girl was treated with cyclosporine, which is typically used as a second-line therapy for SRN in children. The treatment resulted in complete remission of both disorders with no recurrence of nephrosis or bleeding events. This case is significant because it is the first reported instance of cyclosporine being used to treat AHA in a patient with SRN. The study supports the use of cyclosporine for AHA, particularly in cases involving nephrosis. [Extracted from the article]
