Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi, India, explores the dynamics of the Lac-Operon, a molecular mechanism that controls gene expression in response to lactose. The study utilizes a modeling and simulation approach called the multi-particle diffusion reaction-diffusion master equation (MPD-RDME) to gain insights into gene expression kinetics. The researchers construct a gene expression model for the Lac-Operon using MPD-RDME and a Heterogeneous Parallel Platform (HPP), and compare simulation speeds under different conditions. The study concludes that this method can be applied to explore various gene circuits and understand biological system behaviors at the molecular level. [Extracted from the article]
