A recent study conducted by researchers at Guangzhou University in China focused on technology-enhanced higher education (TEHE). The study aimed to recognize trends in the field, visualize scientific collaborations, and reveal important research topics. The researchers collected and analyzed 609 papers related to TEHE from 2004 to 2022 using text mining and bibliometric methods. The study found that TEHE articles have been consistently growing, with contributions from institutions in Spain, the USA, the UK, Australia, Germany, China, and Turkey. The analysis also highlighted research hotspots and emerging themes such as Massive Online Open Courses, AI and big data in education, and COVID-19 and online learning.
