Abstract

Researchers at Nanjing University in China have conducted a study on plasmon-induced electrochemical reactions using electrogenerated chemiluminescence microscopy (ECLM). The study found that bimetallic Au@Pt nanoparticles had lower plasmon-induced reaction efficiency compared to monometallic Au nanoparticles under laser irradiation. ECLM was shown to be a valuable tool for analyzing photo-electrochemical conversion at the single nanoparticle level. The research provides insights into plasmon-induced electrochemical reactions in plasmonic nanocatalysts. Financial support for the study came from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
