Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the Regional University of Cariri (URCA) in Crato, Brazil, focused on the antibacterial activity of thiadiazine derivatives against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The researchers synthesized compounds derived from thiadiazine and performed various tests to evaluate their antibacterial activity. Two compounds showed antibacterial activity against the examined strains, and all compounds showed activity when combined with the antibiotic norfloxacin. In-silico analysis indicated that the compounds have high lipophilicity and non-toxic characteristics. The study suggests that these compounds have the potential to be further studied as low-toxicity sources for multidrug-resistant bacteria. [Extracted from the article]
