Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Texas State University explores the impact of COVID-related stressors on relationship quality. The study found that individuals who reported more COVID-related stressors experienced lower relationship quality during the pandemic. However, the perceived partner responsiveness, which refers to the extent to which individuals believe their partner understands, validates, and cares for them, acted as a buffer against these negative effects. The study suggests that perceiving one's partner as highly responsive can mitigate the impact of stressors on relationship quality. [Extracted from the article]
