Abstract

A study conducted in Pakistan examined the medium-term outcome of Cyclosporine therapy in children with steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome. The study included 75 children, primarily boys, between the ages of 1 and 12. The results showed that Cyclosporine effectively maintained remission and reduced the use of steroids with minimal nephrotoxicity. The study concluded that Cyclosporine is a viable treatment option for steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome in children. [Extracted from the article]
