Abstract

Researchers at McMaster University have developed an instruction manual to help scientists detect rare B cells, which play a crucial role in understanding allergies. B cells are a type of immune cell that produce antibodies and can contribute to autoimmune diseases and allergies. The researchers used a method involving antigen tetramers, which are customizable molecules that can tag and enrich specific B cells for detection. This protocol will enable scientists worldwide to study these important B cells and advance their research. The study was supported by funding from the Schroeder Foundation and ALK Abello A/S.
