- The article focuses on Harkrader, who, alongside her father, solar energy pioneer Richard Harkrader, is leading the development of one of the Southeast's largest utility-scale solar energy companies. It mentions with nearly 50 projects operational in North Carolina, Kentucky, and Virginia, and another 10 under development, Harkrader has expanded the family-owned Durham-based company, Carolina Solar.
