Abstract
- A study conducted by Johns Hopkins University has developed and validated a nonbiohazardous benchtop simulator for Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). The simulator was created using modern education theory and underwent a multicenter study involving 56 expert and novice participants. Objective metrics showed statistically significant differences between experts and novices in enucleation time, adenoma weight, and complications. A training curriculum incorporating this simulator is currently being developed. [Extracted from the article]
