Abstract
- A study conducted at the Hospital & University of Coimbra in Portugal explored the use of numerical rating scales to assess the impact of rheumatoid arthritis on patients' lives. The researchers found that population-based reference values were not suitable as targets for individual patient care, as there was significant variation in the severity of impact that patients considered acceptable. The study concluded that alternative tools are needed to support patient-centered management strategies for rheumatoid arthritis. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology. [Extracted from the article]
